Currently in Alberta people are divided about the topic of what do you do with the extra money? Do you save it? Spend it? Reduce taxes? People and the government are confused and have no real plan with a desired outcome. The next Premier of Alberta needs to have a plan and promote and present it. Just saying we put it in the Heritage Trust Fund is not good enough. The Alberta tax plan detailed below explains how a portion of Alberta’s surplus are set aside in a savings account until its interest generated replaces taxes paid by Albertans in Alberta.
